Art and Culture, including Music, Dance and Architecture, have been a part of The Gnostic Centre’s offering through Workshops, Study circles, Talks and Music events.
Art, Music and Dance events
These have been a part of the Centre’s offering over the years – both as stand-alone events and as integral components of Retreats. A hands-0n Pottery session (by Rekha Bajpe Aggarwal), a lec-dem on Sacred Dance (by Miti Desai) and an evening of Kabir music (by Shabnam Virmani) formed valuable components of the Conscious Living and Learning Retreat. Sessions on Creative and Contemplative Power of Sound and Music (by Aurelio) formed a part of the Conscious Business Retreat.
Integral Art & Architecture Weekend was organised in April 2017, which saw the coming together of professionals from different fields to share their knowledge and skills with the participants – through Tree Tapestry, Art Therapy, and a Talk and Walk focusing on Integral Architecture.
Several groups of architecture students from Mumbai, Gurugram and Delhi have explored the Centre’s architecture for their coursework.
As stand-alone events, the Centre has organized talks and lec-dems in schools and colleges on:
Contemporary Theatre & Its Practice
Foundations of Indian Culture
Green to White Frontier of Architecture
It has offered the following Workshops and Classes:
Collaboration for Creation (by Sanjay Prakash)
Create Glowing Ceramics: A Pottery Workshop (by Rekha Bajpe Aggarwal)
Eurythmie: the Art of Movement (by Ute Charlott Meuser)
