Genesis: How did the Centre begin?

Genesis: The Gnostic Centre grew out of shared dreams and aspirations of a small group that would meet every Sunday at one of their residences, to meditate, read and invoke. The invocations, aspirations, discussions, and encouragement led to the birth of the Centre.

The Gnostic Centre was set up as a not-for-profit trust by a small group of professionals in 1996, at New Delhi, India, consecrated to the work and vision of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother.

In the attempt to formulate a centre for new education, we were guided by Dr Nirodbaran, literary secretary to Sri Aurobindo, and the scribe for ‘Savitri – A Legend and a Symbol‘.
